The Diploma of Business course is a comprehensive learning experience tailored for high school students. It provides an in-depth understanding of fundamental business concepts and practices, setting you up to excel.

Structure: The program provides a balanced mix of theoretical learning and practical application. BSB50120 Diploma of Business consists of five (5) core units and seven (7) electives tailored based on your target outcomes.

Applicants must have commenced year 10, or equivalent, by the course start date, demonstrating sound English proficiency. Confirmation of enrolment involves successfully completing the Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) Assessment, sent via email during the enrolment process. A Unique Student Identifier (USI) and sufficient proof of identity are also required. A reliable internet connection, basic computer literacy and access to a computer with up-to-date software (including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader) are essential. Online students should have a functional camera and microphone for virtual classroom participation.

The Diploma of Business is offered in a variety of delivery methods to suit your needs:

  • At your school: if your school offers the Diploma of Business, you can take it as one of your timetable subjects, typically with three 1-hour classes per week.
  • Virtual: for even more flexibility, attend one 2-hour lesson per week in our virtual classroom, accessing course materials and collaborating with fellow students from home after school hours.

No matter which delivery method you choose, you will receive the same high-quality education from our experienced and qualified trainers.

  • Photo of a Green Medicare Card, Passport or Birth Certificate (in colour)
  • Evidence of Australian residency dated within six (6) months – driver’s licence, concession card, utility bill or bank statement showing your address
  • USI number – visit usi.gov.au to look up or create your USI
  • A parent or guardian close by to sign (if you are under 18)

Can I study while attending a regular high school?
Yes. The Diploma of Business has two delivery methods – at your school and in a virtual classroom – allowing flexible learning so you can balance your studies with your regular high school commitments.

Are there any exams?
The course assessment includes a mix of knowledge questions, case studies and practical activities. There are no traditional exams.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?
Yes, students who successfully complete the course receive a nationally recognised Diploma of Business qualification. Partially completed courses receive a Statement of Attainment.
