About this course
Who it suits, and how it runs
The Certificate III in Business is the entry qualification for the business world. Students learn to communicate in a workplace, work safely and inclusively, use business software, produce documents and spreadsheets, and deliver customer service. Learning is built around routine business tasks that students will meet in any first job.
At Shafston School of Business the course is timetabled like a school subject. Students attend one lesson a week with their Shafston trainer and complete the rest of their work through the online Learning Management System. There are no exams. Students are assessed on whether they can do each task to the required standard.

Students competent in all units receive the qualification and record of results issued by Shafston International Pty Ltd trading as Shafston School of Business (RTO 45694); students who complete some units receive a Statement of Attainment. Completed units are reported to the student’s state curriculum authority (in Queensland, the QCAA learning account).
