Delivery and support

How training is delivered, how students are supported, and what happens if a qualification is not completed.

Delivery

VET in Schools is arranged through your school and taught by Shafston trainers. Students who want to study independently can choose an online course.

Through your school

Arranged with your school

The course is on the school timetable, in a delivery model agreed between the school and Shafston. Ask your school which model applies.

Delivery models

Schools choose the model that best fits their timetable.

School-based training

Regular sessions delivered at your own school across the year.

Block

Concentrated blocks of training on set dates.

Hybrid

A combination of on-site sessions and online learning.

Virtual

Delivered online, for schools at a distance.

City Academy

Students attend a Shafston campus for their training.

Partnership Delivery

Delivered jointly with the school under an agreed arrangement.

Student support

  • Trainer support
  • Student support
  • Progress monitoring

Progress reporting

Schools receive regular updates on student progress, so support can be arranged early.

Partial completion

The units you have completed are still recognised. You receive a Statement of Attainment for them.
