About this course
Who it suits, and how it runs
The Diploma of Business is the Shafston flagship program. It is an AQF level 5 qualification, the same level as the first year of a bachelor degree, completed while the student is still at school. Students learn to manage budgets and financial plans, manage business resources and risk, lead workplace communication, run meetings, identify marketing opportunities, undertake projects and develop sustainability policies.
Students step into the role of a management trainee in Bounce Fitness, the Shafston simulated business. Every cluster of units is delivered through team-based projects, simulated management meetings, presentations and recorded role plays. No work placement is required, and there are no exams.

✓ Students aiming for business, commerce, marketing, management or law degrees who want a full year of credit where articulation agreements apply.
✓ Students who are organised, self-directed and can commit 4 to 5 hours a week over 18 months.
